Pulse Desktop Release Notes

Changelog for the Pulse desktop app. For usage, see the Pulse for Desktop page.

[1.2.3] - 2026-08-24

Fixed

  • macOS system-audio loopback capture in the meeting recorder now actually works — recordings were silently missing system audio on some setups.

[1.2.2] - 2026-08-20

Fixed

  • A race between quitAndInstall (triggered by an available update) and the app's graceful-shutdown before-quit handler, which could leave the app in an inconsistent state when an update landed while it was closing.

[1.2.1] - 2026-08-20

Version bump only — packaging follow-up to 1.2.0, no functional change.

[1.2.0] - 2026-08-20

The first tagged release. Everything below shipped in the run-up to it and is included here as one entry, since none of it was released independently.

Added

  • Meeting capture — a capture prompt window, quick message panel, and recorder, feeding into Pulse's Meeting Agent.
  • Desktop Access (tunnel) — the MCP-compatible local server and tunnel that let Pulse (or another MCP client) reach the desktop: device skills, an egress proxy, and sandboxed path hardening on the worker side.
  • Auto-updaterelectron-updater integration, with an on-premise killswitch so closed-network builds can force it off.
  • Chat Devices and Playbooks panels, clipboard support in chat, and an AppleScript capability for local automation.
  • Offline data management and file synchronization.
  • Windows packaging and branding, and a dedicated macOS release workflow.

Changed

  • Rolling updates to @cognipeer/agent-sdk through the 0.6.x line as the desktop app tracked the runtime's early releases.
  • Iterated on window-close/quit behavior, message arrival animations, and shell mode configuration.
