The August 2026 release adds document-level access control for synced content, reworks chat history with pinning, and adds an in-app way to reach support.

New in Studio
Document-level access control
Synced content can now carry document-level permissions, so a Peer's answers respect who was allowed to see the original document rather than only the datasource-level access rules. This started with SharePoint, where per-document and per-folder permissions are synced alongside content, and was then generalized so the same enforcement applies across datasource types.

Chat history pinning
Conversations in the chat sidebar can now be pinned, and the conversation list is grouped by recent activity, making it easier to find an active or important conversation.
Support handoff
Account Settings now includes a way to contact support directly from Studio, rather than only through email.
Flow Copilot canvas positioning
Flow Copilot's AI-driven edits can now move or pin a step's position on the flow canvas, so an edit doesn't reshuffle a flow's layout unexpectedly.

Fixes and reliability improvements
- Retrieved sources keep their retrieval rank order, including sources that arrive through lookups.
- Retrieved chunks show a citable document name with a working link.
- Synced items keep a stable identity across re-syncs.
- Document preview now works for any datasource type, not just some.
- OCR provider selection and parameter handling consolidated and fixed.
- Chart widget rendering fixed for several gallery widgets.
- A Peer's sandbox can now store secrets for use as sandbox environment variables.
Action required
Studio and Pulse users do not need to migrate anything manually.
Workspace admins with SharePoint content should review document-level access control, since answers now reflect per-document permissions rather than only datasource-level access.
