Datasource Security Settings
Configure security settings for your datasources in Cognipeer to protect sensitive information and align with GDPR/KVKK compliance regulations.
Guide
1. Navigate to the Peer List
- From the Cognipeer dashboard, click on the Peer List option in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Peer for which you want to configure datasource security settings.
2. Access the Datasource Section
- Once inside the Peer details page, navigate to the Datasource tab.
- Here, you will see a list of all datasources connected to the selected Peer.
- Click on the Add Datasource button if you want to add a new datasource, or select an existing datasource to modify its security settings.
3. Configure Security Settings
After selecting or adding a datasource, navigate to the Security tab.
You will see a list of sensitive data types that can be restricted. These include:
- Code
- Phone Number
- Identity Number
- API Token
- Credit Card
- Address
- Birth Date
- IP Address
- URL
- Social Media
- Password
Toggle the switches next to each data type to either allow or restrict access to that specific type of data.
4. Ensure GDPR/KVKK Compliance
- To ensure compliance with GDPR/KVKK regulations, make sure that sensitive data types such as Email, Identity Number, and Credit Card are restricted unless absolutely necessary.
- Review the security settings to ensure that only authorized users and Peers have access to sensitive data.
5. Save Your Settings
- Once you have configured the security settings, click the Save button to apply the changes.
- You will receive a confirmation message indicating that the security settings have been successfully updated.
Additional Tips
- Regular Audits: It is recommended to regularly audit your datasource security settings to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection regulations.
- Data Minimization: Only collect and store the minimum amount of sensitive data necessary for your operations.
By following these steps, you can ensure that your datasources are secure and compliant with GDPR/KVKK regulations, protecting both your organization and your users' sensitive information.
