Datasource Management in Cognipeer
Datasources in Cognipeer provide Peers with the necessary data to function effectively. A datasource could be a file, a web page, or even a custom API, enabling your Peers to pull relevant information when needed.
Adding a Datasource
You can attach datasources to Peers through the Datasource tab.
Adding a New Datasource
- Datasource Type: Select the type of datasource (File, Website, API, etc.).
- Datasource Information: Provide details such as URLs, file paths, or connection credentials.
- Choose Peer for Datasource: Assign the datasource to a specific Peer.

Datasource Gallery
The Datasource Gallery provides pre-configured connections to popular platforms that you can use out-of-the-box. These include integrations with common data services and platforms.
Example Items in the Datasource Gallery
- Confluence: Connect to Confluence pages to enable Peers to answer questions based on stored documentation.
- YouTube: Integrate YouTube videos for knowledge extraction.
- Custom API: Add a custom API to give your Peer access to your proprietary data.

Managing Datasources
Once you’ve added a datasource, you can manage and configure its settings:
- Refresh Rate: How often the datasource updates.
- Security Settings: Control which data the Peer can access.
- Data Usage: See how much data has been pulled from the datasource.
Conclusion
By linking Peers with robust datasources, you can provide them with the information needed to answer questions and make real-time decisions.
